What are direct restorations (Bonding)?

Direct restorations, or bonding, represent the reconstruction of teeth using high-quality composite resin that provides long-lasting aesthetics and strength. The technique, the dentist’s skills, and the materials used are essential for achieving results that can last for decades. This method is particularly suitable for correcting spaces between teeth, restoring chipped incisal edges, treating damaged cervical areas, and restoring enamel damaged by bruxism and tooth wear. An important element of the process is the use of a rubber dam, which ensures isolation and protects the tooth during the procedure, providing better long-term durability.

Procedure steps

1. Consultation and planning

Discussion of the desired result and evaluation of the condition of the teeth.

2. Photography and analysis

Photography of the smile and use of artificial intelligence software to visualize the future result.

3. Preparation of the working field

Dental plaque and discolorations are removed; if necessary, cleaning and polishing of the teeth are performed. Isolation with a rubber dam is ensured and local anesthesia is applied.

4. Composite application

Using special instruments and Zeiss magnification loupes, the dentist adds high-quality composite, which is shaped to achieve ideal form and function.

5. Polishing and finishing

Special attention is given to polishing and smoothing the restoration. Finally, a shine is added to make it as close as possible to the natural tooth.

6. Follow-up check

Evaluation of the result and provision of instructions for maintenance and care of the restorations.

Quality guarantee

We provide an official 3-year guarantee for the restorations performed by us, with the goal that they remain in the mouth for a lifetime. We sign a contract for the performance of dental services, which serves as an additional guarantee of service quality. The price does not change during treatment, even if additional procedures arise; they are at our expense.

Преди

BEFORE: A case of a male patient who complained of constant sensitivity in the area of teeth that had been treated for caries by another dentist approximately 2–3 years earlier. The patient also reported poor contacts between the teeth and food retention in these areas.

During the examination, gaps were identified in the existing fillings, leading to food retention. After removal of the old restorations, untreated caries was discovered underneath them, which explained the persistent sensitivity.

След

AFTER: We undertook restoration of the teeth with direct restorations, using a rubber dam to achieve precision and high-quality isolation of the working area. The result is not only long-lasting aesthetics, but more importantly, restoration of proper tooth function. The patient is satisfied with the achieved result and the improved comfort during eating.

Преди

BEFORE: A case of a young man who was not satisfied with the alignment of his teeth and noticed early signs of tooth wear, namely shortening of the front teeth and chipping of small edges.

След

AFTER: In order to correct the alignment and prevent further wear, we first carried out orthodontic treatment. After successful alignment of the teeth, we undertook bonding of the front teeth to restore their natural appearance and shape, as well as to provide additional protection. In this way, we achieved both aesthetic and functional stability with long-lasting results.

След

AFTER: To restore the aesthetics and functionality of his smile, we undertook restoration with bonding. With the help of this method, we successfully corrected the spaces and restored the chipped edges, achieving a natural and harmonious appearance of the front teeth. The patient was satisfied with the result and the improved appearance of his smile.

Contact us

Will it hurt?

Every procedure with us is performed under anesthesia in order to ensure a comfortable experience for the patient.

Do we work with supplementary health funds?

Yes, we work with supplementary health funds. We issue all necessary documents, such as invoices, medical reports, and others required by the funds. In addition, we work with health funds abroad, providing the same level of documentation and service.

Do we work with the national health insurance fund?

The national health insurance fund limits dentists to working only with amalgam and chemical polymer materials (i.e., materials that do not allow for high-quality tooth restoration), and also determines the time allocated for each procedure. We do not work with the national health insurance fund because we maintain high standards of work, and high-quality reconstruction of a tooth sometimes takes 90 minutes.

What payment methods are available?

With us, you have several convenient payment options. We accept cash payments, credit and debit cards, as well as bank transfers. This allows you to choose the most convenient payment method for you.

Do we take X-rays?

Yes, in our clinic we take X-rays – of individual teeth, as well as those that diagnose early-stage caries between teeth.

Can we issue invoices?

Yes, we issue invoices to both individuals and companies. Regardless of the type of client, we provide the necessary documentation for the performed services.

How often should a preventive check-up and tartar cleaning be done?

A preventive check-up should be carried out every 6 months for each person. Tartar cleaning depends on the individual problems of the patient and the rate of tartar accumulation. Therefore, cleaning can be done at intervals of 2, 4, 6, or 8 months.

Do we have our own parking?

Yes, the clinic has its own parking available for patients. The parking is located in the courtyard behind the clinic building.

Can a tooth not hurt and still have a problem?

Yes, very often a tooth can have a problem without causing pain. Our patients are often surprised to learn that they have dental problems despite not having experienced pain. Many oral conditions, including gum disease, bone loss beneath the gums (periodontitis), caries, even advanced caries reaching the nerve and requiring root canal treatment, as well as granulomas and cysts around the roots of teeth, can be asymptomatic. That is why it is important to have preventive check-ups every 6 months to prevent tooth loss and maintain good oral health.
