How we perform gum plastic surgery
1. Consultation, diagnostics, and discussion of the expected result
We conduct a thorough consultation, including examination of the condition of the gums, teeth, and your overall oral health. We discuss your symptoms, expectations, and propose the most appropriate treatment methods. We will also discuss the result we expect to achieve with the procedure.
2. Photographic documentation and digital analysis with artificial intelligence
We take photographs of the smile and use artificial intelligence to create different versions of your future smile. This allows us to precisely plan all stages of the surgery and visualize the final result.
3. Preparation of the working field and anesthesia
The working field must be completely free of dental plaque and discoloration. If necessary, we perform cleaning and polishing of the teeth, after which we apply local anesthesia to ensure your comfort during the procedure.
4. Performing the soft tissue procedure with precise micro-instruments
Using modern techniques and specialized instruments such as mini blades and ophthalmic scalpels, the surgeon performs the procedure with precision. These extremely fine instruments minimize post-operative discomfort. Depending on the case, this may include gingival tissue grafting, correction of the gingival line, or strengthening of the gums around implants.
5. Post-operative care and instructions
After the procedure, we provide detailed oral and written instructions for gum care during the recovery period. We supply the necessary products and recommendations for optimal healing.
6. Follow-up visits and suture removal
We schedule follow-up visits to monitor the healing process and ensure that everything is progressing as expected. If sutures have been placed, they will be removed during these visits. We will provide additional advice for maintaining gum health.

BEFORE: A case of a middle-aged patient who over time noticed gum recession, exposure of the tooth necks, and sensitivity in these areas. During the examination, we identified the presence of so-called recessions in a large portion of the posterior teeth.
AFTER: In order to restore the normal position of the gums in relation to the teeth and reduce sensitivity, we undertook gum plastic surgery. After the successfully performed intervention, the gums were returned to the correct position, which improved both the aesthetics and the comfort of the patient.
BEFORE: A case of a middle-aged woman who was not satisfied with the appearance of her front teeth. The patient had devitalized teeth with metal-ceramic crowns placed, which had led to darkening of the gums above these teeth. Due to the darkened roots showing through the thin gum tissue, the aesthetics were significantly compromised.
AFTER: To improve the situation, we added soft tissue in the area of the tooth roots, and by thickening and augmenting the gums, we reduced the show-through. To achieve a complete and aesthetic result, we replaced the old metal-ceramic crowns with new all-ceramic ones, and restored the adjacent teeth with veneers. Your first visit
Treatment with us begins with a consultation, because proper diagnosis and case planning are the foundation of successful treatment. The consultation lasts approximately 90 minutes and is carried out by Dr. Voev and Dr. Mircheva, the chief doctors of the clinic. The consultation fee is 150 euros.
1. Scheduling a consultation appointment
The first step is to schedule a consultation appointment, which you can do in person, by phone, or via email. This ensures that you will be seen at our clinic at a time convenient for you.
2. Panoramic X-ray
Before the consultation, it is necessary to have a current digital panoramic X-ray of good quality. The X-ray should be taken at least one day before your visit so that we have complete information about your oral health.
3. Completing a questionnaire
To create your patient record, we will ask you to complete a new patient questionnaire in which you will note important health and personal information.
4. Initial examination
The consultation, which lasts approximately 60–90 minutes, is carried out by both chief doctors – Dr. Voev and Dr. Mircheva. During this visit, we will take photographic documentation of the entire mouth, perform a detailed examination of the teeth, gums, joints, and bite, and review the available X-rays. We collect information about your complaints and needs in order to propose the best solution.
5. Analysis of photographs and X-ray examinations
Together with you, we review the taken photographs and X-ray examinations to assess the current condition and discuss all identified problems.
6. Discussion of problems and questions
After analyzing the collected data, we will discuss in detail the identified problems, answer your questions, and propose the possible solutions.
7. Additional diagnostics in complex cases
In the case of a more complex clinical situation, an additional visit for more in-depth diagnostics may be necessary. This includes multiple photographs, dental scanning with a digital scanner, computed tomography, bite analysis, and smile design.
8. Presentation of the treatment and financial plan
During a separate visit, we will provide you with an individualized treatment and financial plan. We will discuss the details, show you sample cases, and clarify the timelines and possible treatment options.

Do we work with supplementary health funds?
Yes, we work with supplementary health funds. We issue all necessary documents, such as invoices, medical reports, and others required by the funds. In addition, we work with health funds abroad, providing the same level of documentation and service.
Do we work with the national health insurance fund?
The national health insurance fund limits dentists to working only with amalgam and chemical polymer materials (i.e., materials that do not allow for high-quality tooth restoration), and also determines the time allocated for each procedure. We do not work with the national health insurance fund because we maintain high standards of work, and high-quality reconstruction of a tooth sometimes takes 90 minutes.
What payment methods are available?
With us, you have several convenient payment options. We accept cash payments, credit and debit cards, as well as bank transfers. This allows you to choose the most convenient payment method for you.
Do we take X-rays?
Yes, in our clinic we take X-rays – of individual teeth, as well as those that diagnose early-stage caries between teeth.
Can we issue invoices?
Yes, we issue invoices to both individuals and companies. Regardless of the type of client, we provide the necessary documentation for the performed services.
How often should a preventive check-up and tartar cleaning be done?
A preventive check-up should be carried out every 6 months for each person. Tartar cleaning depends on the individual problems of the patient and the rate of tartar accumulation. Therefore, cleaning can be done at intervals of 2, 4, 6, or 8 months.
Do we have our own parking?
Yes, the clinic has its own parking available for patients. The parking is located in the courtyard behind the clinic building.
Can a tooth not hurt and still have a problem?
Yes, very often a tooth can have a problem without causing pain. Our patients are often surprised to learn that they have dental problems despite not having experienced pain. Many oral conditions, including gum disease, bone loss beneath the gums (periodontitis), caries, even advanced caries reaching the nerve and requiring root canal treatment, as well as granulomas and cysts around the roots of teeth, can be asymptomatic. That is why it is important to have preventive check-ups every 6 months to prevent tooth loss and maintain good oral health.
